WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades can give you an increase in specific stats. Each upgrade increases item level by +3. Each upgrade also increases the random substatus.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless it is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like the eth Titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the need to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be made on any kind of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enchantments.

The upgrader is located in all major cities, and is accessible at any time to upgrade item your equipment. To keep your gear up-to-date, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each few weeks.

Upgrades will cost more, based on the level of the item, but they will always be cheaper than buying new equipment. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. Buying a similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are functional items that can be used to upgrade weapons tools, armor, and other accessories. They are purchased by players through NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for a variety of currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any weapon, tool, or armor. The button will show a preview of an item upgrader kit's next upgrade level, when there are enough materials.

The upgrade cost depends on the slot of the item and the current level of the item and the weapon's price is higher than bracers or gloves, for instance. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a number of crests, with some upgrades having a discount to lower the cost of the Flightstones or the crests used. After an item has been upgraded to a certain amount and is degraded, it can be sold and sold back to the upgrader for a lesser amount of the two currencies.

A lot of locations offer upgraders for items in addition to the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade discount and the chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases when more items are upgraded. It can also be increased by having players finish certain achievements or quests.

Unlike Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II there is no upgrader for items at the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead, the NPCs that are available to facilitate upgrades are acquired via several methods, which is both an improvement but also a drawback.

imageIn Season 3, the upgrade system has been altered a bit, with several new features added. When a player has an upgrade to a particular level for an item in an armor slot, upgrading additional items to the same level will cost less even in the event that they belong to another set of gear.

The amount of Valorstones needed to upgrade is reduced and the discount is affixed to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is reduced too, but it is only available once certain milestones have been reached.

Crests

When upgrading equipment in WoW, players have a variety of options. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specific and are used for specific item level upgrade - lovewiki.faith, level upgrades. Crests are a crucial part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.

The first thing to be aware of is that crests are only able to be used on equipment of a particular rank, and each rank has different requirements for its upgrade path. The simplest and simplest upgrade path costs 15 crests, while the most complex may require as many as 20 crests based on the type of gear that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through finishing tasks at the appropriate level. This could be by doing outdoor activities, or by taking on dungeons and raids of any difficulty to earn equipment of lower tier or Mythicbosses of raids or dungeons with a heroic difficulty for endgame gear. The crests can then be exchanged with an upgrader such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken to upgrade the item in the proper steps and routes.

Utilizing these new currencies isn't too complicated, but the system will introduce a few changes to the overall upgrade process. When a piece of equipment has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it will no longer require Flightstones. This change is intended to allow players to get their equipment to the highest ilvl possible on all their characters, rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.

Another important change is that crests only have one usage and it's crucial to make use of them in a responsible manner. For instance, it's best to utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests on the top gear you have available, and then keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you plan to create. This is especially true for items such as rings and trinkets that occupy multiple slots. The discount on the account will only be applicable if all the slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
