WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades can give you an increase in certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of the item by +3. A random additional substat is also added to each upgrade.
The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless it has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like Eth Titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The
item upgrader mod upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be made on any kind of armor or weapons. However, the
item upgrader kit that is used for the upgrade will be consumed forever and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enhancements.
You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear current, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every several weeks.
Upgrades can cost more based on the item level, however they'll always be less expensive than purchasing new gear. For instance upgrading a Benthic chest piece to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, while buying a similar item from another player will cost 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that are used to level up weapons tools, armor, and other items. Players can purchase them from item upgraders NPCs in a variety of currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any weapon, tool or armor. button, which displays an
item upgrading's preview at the next upgrade level when the player has enough materials.
The cost of upgrades varies based on the slot of the
item upgrades and the current item level and the weapon's price is higher than gloves or bracers, for example. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades give a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item is upgraded to a certain amount it can be re-downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower cost.
Upgraders for items are available at many locations including the main island as well as some outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade discount and a chance to obtain a new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases as more items are upgraded. It can be increased if players complete certain achievements or quests.
Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrader at the start unlike Cromwell from Baldur's Gate II. The NPCs who are able to facilitate upgrades are only accessible via a variety of ways. This is both a benefit as well as a drawback.
In Season 3, many new features have been added to the upgrade system. Once an upgrade has been completed to a specific level for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same level, will cost less. This is true regardless of whether the items come from a different set of equipment.
The discount is available to all accounts. Similarly, the amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is also cut and is not available until players reach certain milestones in their achievements.
Crests
Players have a variety of choices when it comes to upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more specific and are used for specific
item Level upgrade level upgrades. Crests are an important component of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System that was introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.
The first thing to be aware of is that crests are only able to be used on equipment that is of a particular rank, and each rank has different requirements for upgrading. The easiest and most straightforward upgrade is 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade could require as much as 20 crests, based on the type or gear being upgraded.
Players can earn crests by working through tasks at the appropriate level. This could mean engaging in outdoor activities or completing dungeons and raids in any difficulty to earn lower-tier gear or Mythic+ raid bosses or dungeons that have a high difficulty for gear in the endgame. Crests can be exchanged at an upgrader NPC like Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to get the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.
The new currency system isn't complicated to use, but it will bring some changes to the upgrade process. When a piece of equipment reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This change allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest possible ilvl on all of their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.
Another notable modification is that crests have one usage therefore it's essential to make use of them in a responsible manner. It is best to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the
Best item upgrader gear you can locate and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly applicable to items like trinkets and rings that fill multiple slots. The account-wide discount is only applicable when all the slots on the character are filled with top-quality gear.
