Item upgrading allows players to boost the gear score of an
Best item upgrade up to 700 and add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory before heading to the kiln.
Certain items can be upgraded for their unique stats (like a perfectly made breakpoint armour that can be rolled to use in melee PvP) while other items, such as weapons don't change much post upgrade, and therefore aren't worth upgrading.
Weapons
Upgrades to weapons can boost their numerical stats, like attack damage, crit chance, and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons come with a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. Many weapons also come with a fixed bonus which is activated when three or more identical weapons are used in a group. In some cases this bonus can add up to more than the amount of damage that a weapon upgrades on its own.
A weapon's upgrade costs depend on the nature of the weapon as well as its current level. For instance, a +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while the +3 model requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade the gun will increase until it needs an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point it will reset to one.
Upgrades to weapons can also reroll the stats of their base. While this is usually an excellent thing but it can also have negative consequences too. For items that are only used in a particular build (Whistant's shield for FB Sorcs, for example), upgrading them may render them useless unless you happen to have an extremely lucky roll.
It is possible to upgrade armor items to increase their effectiveness. For instance, if you have a helm or chest, it will boost its base defense while gloves and belts enhance their required strength and dexterity. Armor has a rerolling feature for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it can sometimes roll down to a lower value.
The upgrade template for a weapon will display the new stats it will gain when upgraded and their relative values. This means that a change from a sword that has 8 damage to an 11 attack-damage sword will result in a weapon gaining an attack damage of 3. However the 3% does not mean that it will strike for 3 fewer times because it's an absolute statistic.
Rerolling a weapon can be possible by pressing the green button within the item menu with the arrows that circle. The item will be rerolled and alter its stats, but it will not reset the weapon's level or tie it to the account status.
Armor
Making a few improvements to your armor can make a huge differences in your capacity to withstand. Certain sets provide massive increases in poison, curse, fire and magic resistance, which makes the journey through difficult terrain a breeze. In general, the more defense you can offer your character, the greater health you can get from each point. Therefore, it's a good idea to upgrade your armor.
To upgrade your armor, go to any of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four of them and each one requires you to complete a unique side-quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. Once you've done the main side quest and mastered the fountain in question and then you can speak to any Great Fairy to open up the menu for upgrading your armor.
Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels, and the amount of materials and Rupees needed for each level will differ. It is possible to use anything from three Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees to upgrade your first armor piece, and between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Horns to upgrade each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, as an example can be upgraded to an increase of 5 defense rating, which will allow you to remain competitive in cold environments with a large number of foes. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other is able to be upgraded to +20 defense, which means you're able to withstand a rout with your comrades.
You can't upgrade your armor the same as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior then you should concentrate on upgrading your armor for physical power or the power of spells. You should also save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor that you'll still be wearing at the end of the story, like the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you wear in the final boss fight, the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.
You can also unlock some perks for your armor by giving the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. You'll generally want to save these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to win the game. For example the Longsword or Battleaxe. But it's useful to have a few upgrades to the helmets and chest armor so that you can get around a few monsters.
Potions
Potions are substances in bottles that, if consumed, give the user an effect on their status for a short period of time. There are five types of potions, each with specific effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded, increasing the effectiveness of their effects. In addition, the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding glowstone dust or redstone to them.
Potion upgrades require a certain amount of XP. This can be obtained by crafting them on a crafting table or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. The cost of upgrading varies based on the type of potion used and the item's rarity and Mark Level.
To upgrade a potion, click right on it in your inventory and select the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open a GUI that lets you select the potions that you wish to upgrade, and the amount of experience they will offer when upgraded. You can
upgrade item potions in batches up to five at once, and their XP will be added to the total XP you have.
Once a poton is upgraded, it will not degrade in the event that you take it out again or break the bottle in which it is kept. You can also change the name of the potion by clicking it in your inventory.
Version 1.7.2 introduced a few changes to the way potions are used. For instance splash potions now have an average duration of 0:08 (this is not the same as 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display of the
Best item upgrader). The potion table can now be made using four Wood Planks and two Glass. It can be used in both Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions are not compatible with cauldrons like Java Edition. The same is true for using a potion in an empty cauldron. This will deplete the potion, and refill the bottle.
In addition, there are lingering potions that are made with splash and dragon breath potions. Redstone can also be added to lingering potions to extend their effects. The potion table is now organized more closely to the Java Edition, and new potions were introduced, including potion of leaping, potion of decomposition, and turtle master potions.
Trinkets
A trinket could be an ornamental
Best item upgrader that is small, cheap or piece jewelry. It could also be a small ornament or object that serves a purpose, but isn't important such as a Thimble. In certain traditions, trinkets are used to symbolize affection or friendship, particularly between family members.
In addition to weapons, armor and potions, players are able to upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be obtained by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. As with other upgrades to items trinkets, trinkets can be traded out at any time without losing their status.
The upgrade vendors are located in major cities and the capital of each zone, and in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are purchased using tokens, gold or fragments of a rare trinket.
Upgrades are a cost-effective alternative to buying a brand new trinket. It can be done by players for just 12 tokens. The new trinket comes with the same base level as the old trinket but will also have an additional 1% bonus upgrade.
