WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades can give you boost in specific stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also boosts a random substat.
The upgraded gear is usually more useful, unless the
item upgrading is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like eth Titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect model.
Recycle Points
The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. However, the item that is used for the upgrade will be consumed forever and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enchantments.
The upgrader is located in all major cities and can be accessed anytime to upgrade your equipment. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date it is recommended you visit the upgrader every several weeks.
The cost of upgrading will be based on the current level of the gear being upgraded but they will always be cheaper than buying new gear from other sources. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest up to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapons, armor, tools, and accessory upgrades. They can be bought by players through NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for different currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be used on any weapon, tool or armor. The button will show the item's next upgrade level in the event that there are enough materials.
The cost of upgrading is based on the slot of the
item upgrader mod and current item level and the weapon's price is higher than bracers or gloves, for example. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Certain upgrades provide a discount on the Flightstones. Once an
item level upgrade (
head to the www.demilked.com site) is upgraded to a certain degree and is degraded, it can be sold and sold back to the upgrader for a lesser amount of the two currency types.
Upgraders for items are available at many locations, including the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount and a chance to get a brand new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases depending on the amount of items being upgraded. It is also possible to be boosted by requiring players to complete specific achievements or quests.
Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no item upgrader available in the beginning of Icewind Dale. The NPCs that can assist with upgrades are only available through a variety means. This is both a benefit and a disadvantage.

The discount is available to all accounts. In the same way, the amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is also reduced and is not available until players have reached certain milestones in their achievement.
Crests
When upgrading gear in WoW, players have a few options. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more specific and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are a key element of the Dragonflight gear progression system, which was introduced in 10.1, and come in 4 ranks.
The first thing to remember is that crests are only able to be used on equipment that is of a particular rank, and every rank has different requirements for its upgrade path. The simplest and most straightforward upgrade path costs 15 crests, while the more complex one requires as many as 20 crests, based on the type of gear that is being upgraded.
Players can earn crests by finishing content at the appropriate level, whether that involves walking around and engaging in outdoor activities for lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons with all difficulties for higher-tier items or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses or dungeons to obtain endgame gear. The crests can later be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, like Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to get the appropriate upgrade routes and steps.
The use of these currencies isn't that difficult, but the system introduces some changes to the overall upgrade process. For instance, when an item reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it will no longer require Flightstones to be upgraded. This allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest level possible on all of their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.
