WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades give you boosts in specific stats. Each
upgrade item increases the item level by +3. A random extra substat is also added to every upgrade.
The upgraded gear is usually more useful, unless the item has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like the eth Titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as important for the latter because of the requirement to roll an exact version.
Recycle Points
The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapon. However, the item used for the upgrade will be consumed forever and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can be applied to the enchantments.
The upgrader is located in every major city, and can be accessed anytime to upgrade your equipment. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date it is recommended you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks.
The cost of upgrades will vary based on the current level of the equipment being upgraded, but will always be cheaper than purchasing new gear from other sources. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest up to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used for weapons, armor, tools and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players from NPCs of item upgraders in a variety of currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased, it can be used on any weapon or tool using the help of button, which displays a preview of the

upgrade item level in the event that the player has enough materials.
Upgrade costs vary depending on the item slot, and the current level of the item. For example, weapons will cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades give a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain degree and is degraded, it can be sold and returned to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currencies.
Many locations have upgraders for their items which include the main island and some outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade discount and a chance to get a brand new upgrade recipe. The discount on upgrades increases when more items are upgraded. It can also be increased by having players complete certain achievements or complete quests.
Icewind Dale does not have an upgrader for items at the beginning, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's Gate II. The NPCs who can facilitate upgrades are only available via a variety of ways. This is both a benefit as well as an issue.
In Season 3, the upgrade system was tweaked a bit, with numerous new features added. Once the player has upgraded to a certain
item upgrading level for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same level will cost less. This is even if the items are from an entirely different set of gear.
The discount is applicable to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is also cut and is not available until players have reached certain milestones in their achievements.
Crests
When upgrading gear in WoW, players have a couple of options. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specific, and are used during specific item level upgrade (

First, you must be aware that Crests are only available to equipment of a certain rank. Each rank comes with distinct upgrade paths. The simplest and simplest upgrade path costs 15 crests, while the most complex can require as much as 20 crests, based on the type of gear that is being upgraded.
Players can earn crests through completing content of the appropriate level, which involves walking around and performing outdoor activities to get lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons with any difficulty for higher-tier items, or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses or dungeons for gear that is used in the endgame. These crests are then exchanged with an item upgrader like Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and paths.
Using these new currencies isn't that difficult, but the system introduces some modifications to the upgrade process. When a piece of equipment attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest possible ilvl for all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.
It's also essential to use crests wisely, as they only have one use. It is
Best item upgrade to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the highest-quality gear you can locate and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is especially relevant for items like trinkets and rings that fill several slots. The discount for the entire account will only apply when all the slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
