World of Warcraft -
item upgrader Upgrading
Item upgrading allows players to boost the gear score of an item to 700 and add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory, and then taking them to the kiln.
Certain items can be upgraded to increase their stats (like an ideally made breakpoint armour that can be rolled to use in melee PvP) while other items, such as weapons don't change much post upgrade, so they aren't worth upgrading.
Weapons
Weapons can be upgraded to increase their numeric stats, such as damage to attack, crit chance, PvE and PvP damage. They also have a flat bonus that increases the damage they deal per second. Additionally some weapons come with a set bonus that activates when three or more of the same weapon are equipped on a unit. In some instances, this bonus can add up to more than the amount of damage that a weapon is able to upgrade on its own.
The cost of upgrading a weapon varies on its rarity as well as its current level. For example, an +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a weapon will continue to rise until it requires an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones, at which the amount will be reset to one.
Upgrades to weapons will also reroll the stats of their base. While this is usually beneficial, it can have some negative consequences too. For items that are only used in a certain build (Whistant's shield for FB Sorcs, for example) upgrading them can make them unusable unless you have an extremely lucky roll.
Upgrades can be made to armor items to boost their performance. For example, if you upgrade a helm or chest, this will increase its base defense while a belt and gloves will enhance their required strength and dexterity. Armor also has the option of rerolling its Enhanced Defense percentage, which means that it could reroll to a lower value.
The upgrade template for a weapon displays the new stats it will gain upon upgrading and their relative values. This means that a change from a sword with 8 damage to an 11 attack-damage sword will result in a weapon receiving an attack damage of 3. The 3% doesn't mean that the weapon will strike 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.
Rerolling a weapon can be possible by pressing the green button in the
Best item upgrade menu with the arrows that circle. This will reroll an item and change its statistics, but not reset the weapon's level or tie it to the account status.
Armor
A few upgrades to your armor can make all the difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets can offer MASSIVE increases in poison, curse, fire and magic resistance, which makes the journey through difficult terrain a breeze. In general, the greater defense you have for your character, the more health you can gain from each point. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade your armor.
To upgrade your armor, head to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four Great Fairy Fountains available in the game and in order to unlock them all, you have to complete an additional quest that involves the Stable Trotters. After you've completed your main quest and the corresponding fountains, you'll have the option of talking to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the armor upgrade menu.
The amount of materials required to upgrade each piece of armor will vary. In general, you're looking at anything from three to five Red Chuchu Jellies and ten Rupees for the initial upgrade, and anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent upgrade. The Champion Leathers, as an example, can be upgraded to a +5 defense rating, which will allow you to remain competitive in frigid conditions with a lot of foes. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other is able to be upgraded to +20 defense, which means you're able to survive a battle with your friends.
Note that armor can't be upgraded in the same manner as weapons, so you'll need to focus on enhancing it to increase physical strength if you're a Warrior or Spell Power in the case of Mage. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades for the armor you'll be wearing at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you use to fight the final boss, the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.
By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town in Gerudo Town, you can gain some benefits to your armor. In general, you should save these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to win the game such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer however, it could be useful to have a few upgrades to your chest armor and helmets that permit you to sneak past some monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquids that when consumed by a player, provide a temporary effect. There are five different types of potions, each with a specific set of effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded, enhancing the effectiveness of their effects. Alternatively, the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding redstone or glowstone dust them.
Potion upgrades cost a specific amount of XP, which can be earned by crafting them using a craft table or the Alchemist's chest. The cost of upgrading varies based on the type of potion and the item's rarity and Mark Level.
To upgrade a potion, right-click on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open a GUI which allows you to select the potions that you want to upgrade and the amount of experience they will give you when upgraded. Upgrading potions can be done in batches of up to five at a time and the XP that they generate will be added to your current XP total.
Once a poton is upgraded, it will not degrade in the event that you take it out again or break the bottle in the container it is kept. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to rename it.
There were some changes to the mechanics of potion in version 1.7.2. For example the splash potions now have an average duration of zero,08 seconds (this is not the equivalent of 22.5 seconds shown on the
item upgrade hover display). The table of potion now crafted from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. It can be utilized in both Survival and Bedrock. Contrary to Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions are not able to be used in cauldrons. The same applies to the use of a potion in an empty cauldron. This will drain the liquid, and then refill the bottle.
Lastly, there are now lingering potions that are made with dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone can be added to lingering potions to extend their effects. The table of potion ingredients has been rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions have also been added, like the potion of leaping as well as decomposition.
Trinkets
A trinket is a small and inexpensive ornament or piece of jewelry. It can also refer to an ornament or object that serves a purpose, but isn't important, like a Thimble. In certain cultures, a trinket is used to symbolize affection or friendship, specifically between family members.
In addition to armor, weapons, and potions, players are able to upgrade their trinkets. These can be upgraded by visiting an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate currency. Unlike other
Item Upgrades (
Forum.Ressourcerie.Fr) trinkets, trinkets can be exchanged at will without losing their status.
Upgrade vendors are located at the capitals of each zone, and sometimes in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are available with tokens, gold, or fragments from rare trinkets.
Upgrades are a cost-effective alternative to purchasing a new trinket. A player can upgrade their trinket for as little 12 tokens. The new trinket will come with the same base ilvl as the old one, and will include an additional 1% upgrade bonus.
