imagePath of Exile Item Upgrades

The performance of a variety of Path of Exile items can be improved by upgrading their performance. They can provide extra damage, AD or even affixes.

Rare-grade equipment is usually superior to the more modernized Common or Magic gear due to their higher requirements.

Armor

Armor upgrades are a kind of upgrade that can be used on armor and weapon items. They boost the performance of the item upgrade they are attached to. Armor upgrades can be found in the game's world and can be purchased from Blacksmiths at any bonfire. Alternately, they can be salvaged from items with upgrade components in them using an expert or greater salvage kit.

The level of an armor's or weapon's upgrade determines the amount of damage it is able to take on. Upgrading a piece of armor to maximum upgrade level will increase the damage it absorbs. But, it's important to note that this will also increase its weight, which will cause it to weigh more than it was before.

There are several kinds of armor upgrades available in the game and they all have distinct effects. Certain upgrades grant armor a greater number of health points, while others make it stronger and lighter. The type of armor upgrade that an item can receive will be indicated by the name of the upgrade as indicated in the table below.

Certain upgrades require magic or a combination of technology and magic, as identified by the "Magic" and "Hybrids" entries in the table below. Some upgrades also require charges for use. These are indicated as "Charges" entries in the table. The charges for these upgrades refresh daily or never expire, depending on the upgrade.

The cheapest method to upgrade armor is with Iron Ore, which can be gathered through exploring the surroundings and looting minor loot chests. Titanium is more costly, but can be found at the smelters in Orgrimmar and Stormwind City. Certain upgrades, like the Reforge and the Hot Potato Books, can only be applied to higher level armor pieces. These upgrades can give significant improvements in stats and are a worthwhile investment, especially for 1-handed weapons.

The player must be aware, however, that upgrading a piece up to the max upgrade level will boost its defense. However, it can also reduce the speed and agility of the piece. For this reason, it is typically not recommended to upgrade the majority of armor pieces above +9, since the added defense is generally not worth the extra weight and power cost of the upgrades needed.

Weapons

Weapon upgrades let players increase the effectiveness of certain aspects of the weapon. Upgrades can improve the accuracy of a rifle, or the damage caused by shotgun shells. Some weapons have special upgrades that enhance their inherent characteristics. They include Frictionless Materials (improves stability and minimizes weapon overheating) and Kinetic Coils (increases the speed of projectiles to cause more damage).

The majority of weapon upgrades require the use of a whetblade, or one of the three Power Dices and a different amount Minerals and Erons. They can be obtained by completing Side Quests or by killing a certain number of bosses and monsters.

Upgrades to a weapon, equipment Set piece or Whetblade requires visiting the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine and paying her an upgrade cost of a set number of Bars. The higher the upgrade level, the more bars are required to complete it. If you have multiple upgrade materials The cost of upgrading will be lower.

In Chapter 2: Season 5, the ways to upgrade your weapon and equipment sets has changed a bit. In the past, you could seek out an Upgrade Bench and pay a set number of Bars to upgrade your weapon or equipment to a higher quality. You could continue doing this until you reach a maximum upgrade level for your equipment or weapon, following which the upgrades would be reset.

You can still do this but the process is high on RNG and low on agency. You're better off buying gear with low levels of upgrade and high base scores and stat distributions. These items have a greater likelihood of granting you highest level of advantages and benefits.

Most players will want to make the most of upgrades to weapons they most often use to allow them to progress faster. Players should also upgrade the weapons that their teammates use to boost their strength. Shepard, for example should upgrade his M92F to unlock the Beretta M93R. This will make the weapon more effective when used in conjunction with biotic specialists like Grunt and Tali.

Jewels

Jewels can be used to boost the stats of a character or to provide additional effects in armor and weapons. Jewelry crafting is a method for creating them. You combine gemstones with specific reagents on a table. The higher the quality of the gemstone, the better the secondary effect. These reagents are available from Treasure Goblins and World Bosses in the world, or by salvaging Legendary Gear. You can also purchase them from The Jeweler in exchange for Scattered Prisms and gold.

The Jeweler can improve the quality of a gem in stages ranging from Crude up to Royal. The stat boosts can vary depending on the tier the jewel is in when it's slotted into jewelry, weapons or other gear.

All tiers of jewels are crafted at the Jeweler, with the exception of the rare and legendary jewels which require you to be at a high enough level to obtain these. Jewels can be replaced by another jewel without destroying the original. However it is only possible to replace one jewel in an equipment piece only once.

Utilizing more jewels in a movement will make it more smooth, and is often used for aesthetic reasons. The jewels can also enhance performance and make an outer layer that is more durable than steel so that repeated friction from pivots do not cause damage to them.

A Glyphmaster can provide glyphs that can enhance the look of your weapons and shields. These glyphs provide a small boost and can be freely swapped, but they are not guaranteed to appear as loot. Glyphs can be upgraded as jewelry, by visiting the Jeweler for gold and scattered Crystal. Glyphs can also be removed from the inventory, and they are returned to the inventory. Other upgrade components such as aegis or traits cannot be swapped, and can only be found through an upgrade extractor, or salvaging with a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage tool.

Trinkets

Trinkets are items of equipment that bestow an array of small, but beneficial benefits to your hero. You can find them in the start-up area as loot or personal story rewards. They are also available from vendors and by completing road interaction. They can also be found on the Trading Post, or crafted by jewelers.

The first trinket a player is able to unlock is the cloak, which grants a small but useful bonus to speed of movement and the ability to escape. The player can then collect necklaces, rings, and amulets, in a similar way to how they acquired weapons and armor. Each piece of equipment comes with one upgrade slot that can accommodate either a universal or jewel upgrade. Universal upgrades offer smaller bonuses and can be put into any type of equipment, however, jewelry cannot be replaced or upgraded and only works with specific types of trinkets.

These trinkets grant additional buffs and abilities that are active even when the hero isn't engaged in combat. This lets the hero be more effective while inactive, and can also help to compensate for the absence of a solid team or any slots in the talent tree which would normally be filled with the hero's best statistics.

A good guideline for trinket upgrades is to prioritize BiS (Best item upgrader-in-Slot) items that you won't be replacing soon, followed by any items with desirable stats, but less important than the iLevel of the item level upgrade upgrader mod; https://images.google.so/url?q=https://turner-chan-2.blogbright.net/20-fun-details-about-item-upgrade, to be upgraded.image
