In addition, an upgraded item may be able to offer additional buffs to the unit it is equipped with. These upgrades can be used to boost the overall strength of a unit or unit, and can significantly impact the gameplay.
Items can be upgraded at any
item upgrader NPC in the game. These NPCs are located in the major questing areas or capital cities. You can also find upgraders of items by visiting dungeons with high-level bosses, and speaking to NPCs in garrisons of your faction.

During the upgrade, an item will slowly grow closer to the next stage, but not always reach its fully upgraded bar.
